Down 14 points at halftime, Syracuse could have folded. Instead, the Orange stormed back to beat top-seed Virginia and book themselves a trip to the Final Four.
Syracuse made history in doing so, becoming the first 10-seed to ever reach a Final Four of March Madness.
This doesn’t mean Syracuse is the biggest underdog ever to reach the Final Four, however. George Mason and Virginia Commonwealth were 11-seeds in 2006 and 2011, respectively. But Sunday’s comeback win over Virginia caps a shocking run for Syracuse, nonetheless.
